Yes, above is the rogue's gallery of Virginia state legislators that sponsored the VCEA. As a result, you will now pay a large new "electricity tax" on your energy bill and VCEA will wipe out the forests in Virginia. For those that follow politics in the Commonwealth, several of those names will be familiar as the leading supporters of the extreme progressive movement and it's plan to pass a nationwide "Green New Deal", to address climate change and economic inequality. They don't like to be called socialists, but this is straight out of the playbook of government domination of the economy.
As recently stated in an article on the Green New Deal ("GND"):
"GND proponents want us to believe this can be done quickly, easily, affordably, ecologically, sustainably and painlessly – almost with the wave of a magic wand. Not a chance. Those in power would undoubtedly protect their privileged status. But the GND would control and pummel the jobs, lives, living standards, savings, personal choices and ecological heritage of rural, poor, minority, elderly and working classes.
Dependable coal and natural gas power plants will be replaced by intermittent, weather-dependent wind and solar power; gasoline-powered vehicles with electric models. That’s obvious. But our nation’s abundant coal, oil, natural gas and petroleum liquids provide over 80% of the energy that makes America’s jobs, lives and living standards possible. Locking them in the ground would have far-reaching impacts that are far less apparent, and have (deliberately?) received little media attention."
Let's not turn Virginia into California where electricity shortages are becoming the norm. Even the Wall Street Journal warns in this article, "California Blackouts a Warning for States Ramping Up Green Power"

We, the undersigned, call on the Virginia General Assembly to REPEAL the Virginia Clean Economy Act. This falsely named law will significantly harm Virginia's forests and wildlife while placing a severe "electricity tax" burden on all citizens and especially our lower and middle income consumers in the Commonwealth.
We ask that the General Assembly pass a more sensible environmental legislation that ensures no clearcutting of our forests; that will place limits on the size and amount of solar and wind facilities; that will place limits on the increase in average residential electric bill with continued oversight by the State Corporation Commission to protect the consumer; and will repeal any and all state tax credits for solar and wind facilities.
Thank you for listening to your consitituents and concerned citizens.
HERE IS THE LINK TO SIGN THE PETITION.
(The REPEAL VCEA Petition will be sent to every Member of the Virginia Senate and House of Delegates, please sign today and ask friends, neighbors and business contacts to sign so we can repeal this terrible law as soon as possible!! Thank you!!)

Watch Democrats Quickly Kill Our Bill
Late on a Friday afternoon, we learned that the House Labor & Commerce Committee (Sub-committee #3) chaired by Democrat Richard "Rip" Sullivan of Arlington (who was the Chief Patron of the terrible VCEA legislation), had placed HB 2265 - our Repeal VCEA Bill championed by Delegate Nick Freitas (see his video here) on the agenda for an early Monday morning hearing.
Even with the short notice, we submitted our comments and rallied others to submit comments in support of HB 2265. Via the link to the right you can read the comments in support of the Bill.
We know the Democrats control Richmond and they want to quickly reject our effort for a more balanced approach to protecting the environment and ensuring affordable electricity rates for seniors and working families. Their rejection of HB 2265 will not stop us from making Democrats defend this November their approval of clear-cutting Virginia's precious forests and covering our farmland (over 240 projects) with toxic solar panels (over 60 million all made in China!).
Every day we find out more about the backroom deals going on between the solar industry and the Democrat powerbrokers in Richmond. Read this story in the Virginia Mercury in our blog about how changes are being made to VCEA regulations with only the solar developers, environmental elites and big utility corporations at the table. No one represents the forestry industry and conservationists, farmers losing their land and most importantly, the electricity consumer - YOU, who will be paying $800 more per year to keep the lights on!!
Join us by signing the petition, alerting and sharing this information with your friends and neighbors and financially supporting our efforts to reduce the environmental impact and electricity taxes imposed by VCEA. Thank you!
